Dr. Angeles Maldonado is a mother and a human rights scholar-activist and author living in Arizona, but proudly born and raised in Salvatierra, GTO, Mexico. She holds a Ph.D. in Education, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies. Dr. Maldonado’s parents brought her to the United States when she was just eight years old to provide her and her siblings with better educational opportunities. Her experiences as an immigrant child inspired her to become an advocate for social justice and migrant rights.

Ray A. Ybarra Maldonado is an attorney, human rights activist, author, filmmaker,, and public speaker.  Born in Douglas, AZ, Ybarra Maldonado’s mother was born just a few miles to the south in the town of Agua Prieta, Sonora.  As a lawyer, Ybarra Maldonado is an aggressive trial attorney who has attained not guilty verdicts for his clients in both state and federal courts.  In addition to attaining not guilty verdict he has won motions to suppress evidence that have resulted in complete dismissal of cases and has attained victories at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Aaron Lopez Anchondo is a DREAMer with years of experience as a legal assistant. Aaron is an unapologetic DACAmented activist. He uses social media to create dialogues about experiences of DACA recipients and life as an immigrant. Aaron will be serving as the Director of Community outreach to be on the ground during protests, organizing movements and advocacy events to document their impact in the immigrant community here in Arizona.
